Good morning,
Before Paul ever mentions a single piece of armor, he says this first:
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power." (Ephesians 6:10, BSB)
Notice what he doesn't say. He doesn't say be strong on your own. He doesn't say, "Pull yourself together and push through." He says be strong in the Lord.
I think a lot of us, especially women who are used to holding everything together for everyone else, quietly skip that part. We go straight to gritting our teeth and getting through the day on our own strength. I did that for years, especially in the seasons I was carrying other people's grief along with my own.
Here's what I've come to believe. Trying to be strong in your own strength is exhausting, and it was never the plan. His power is the source. Ours is just the willingness to lean into it.
Reflection Question: Where are you depending on yourself instead of leaning on God's strength today?
Prayer: Teach me to rely on You.

Stand firm today. May the Lord strengthen your heart, guard your mind, and remind you that you never fight alone.
