Good morning,
The breastplate protected a soldier's heart and vital organs. It was not something you could go into battle without.
"With the breastplate of righteousness arrayed." (Ephesians 6:14, BSB)
Here's what I want you to hear today. This righteousness isn't something you earned by keeping it together, staying on top of your quiet time, or having your act together in front of other people. It's not a performance review. It's something given to you through Christ, and it covers you whether you had a good day or a hard one.
I think this is one of the places women get worn out the fastest. We treat our standing with God like something we have to maintain through effort, and then we feel like a failure the moment we fall short. That's exhaustion, not faith. The breastplate isn't something you build. It's something you put on.
Reflection Question: Where are you trying to earn God's approval instead of resting in what Christ already secured for you?
Prayer: Help me rest in Your grace.
Today's Next Step: Read "When You Feel Like You're Not Enough."
Stand firm today. May the Lord strengthen your heart, guard your mind, and remind you that you never fight alone.
In Christ, Karen
