Welcome to Warrior Women | Faith & Prayer Community for Christian Women

Hey friend,

I'm so glad you're here.

If you're new to Warrior Women, welcome. And if you've been part of this community for a while already, welcome back. I wanted to take a minute to explain why you're getting this series either way.

I've been working behind the scenes for a while now to make Warrior Women a place that actually serves you better, not just another blog you signed up for once and forgot.

Everything here is built on Ephesians 6:10-18, the full Armor of God, and I realized I had never walked you through that foundation in a clear, day-by-day way.

So whether this is your first time hearing about the armor or your hundredth, I wanted to introduce it, or reintroduce it, the way I wish someone had walked me through it years ago.

I also want to take this chance to introduce myself, or reintroduce myself if we've already met. I'm Karen. I spent over 30 years in social work and hospice care, which means I've sat with people in some of the hardest, most honest moments of their lives.

That work shaped how I read Scripture and how I think about standing firm. I'm also a wife, a mother of five, and a grandmother, or Gigi, to four with another on the way!

Warrior Women exists because I want you to have what got me through: God's Word, worn like armor, not just read on a Sunday.

Over the next eight days we're going to walk through Ephesians 6 together, one piece of the Armor of God at a time. Not just what it is, but how you actually put it on when your day starts falling apart before nine a.m.

Here's why I care about this so much. I have watched what happens when a woman has nothing steady to stand on. And I have watched what happens when she does.

Paul wrote this to a group of believers surrounded by real pressure and real spiritual opposition. His words to them are just as true for you now:

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil's schemes." (Ephesians 6:10-11, BSB)

That's what this series is. Eight days of putting the armor on, piece by piece.

Reflection Question: What battle are you facing today?

Prayer: Lord, strengthen me for today's battles.

Today's Next Step: Start with the cornerstone post on the full Armor of God. [LINK]

I'd also love to hand you a free tool to go along with this series: the Bible Verse Battle Plan. It's a simple way to have Scripture ready before the hard moments hit instead of scrambling for it in the middle of them.

Stand firm today. May the Lord strengthen your heart, guard your mind, and remind you that you never fight alone.

In Christ, Karen
